01- It's taken from the beginning of a song on the Saint Etienne album Finisterre. I actually forgot which track now; I've had that clip saved since an old mix where I put it before the M83 track 'Unrecorded'.. it seems to go well with M83.. proven fact. end.

03- Do we really need more Hood? YES! someone called it music masturbation (wank WANK.. it's wank). I just don't see how it's that wankity... it's not like the violin bit towards the end goes on for 20min or anything.. I didn't see that it was showing off; it made the song better. oh and the title is taken from this song.

04- Almost any of them would've worked. I almost went with ballybane, but felt it was too much the same tone with the Hood track somehow thus did the one after it. I almost went with élise, too when coming up with the setlist, but never did try it to see if it would've worked. ah well.

05- One of the less electronic sounding tracks. I almost used 'Going to Breathe Again', but when I decided to use an Aroah track, this particular song went better with it. if you still want to hear the other, just go to his main site since it's there.

07- This was a last resort addition since I almost left it at 14 tracks and wasn't satisfied... then I realised something should go inbetween the Aroah and Mercury Rev to build it up, searched through my music folders and ran across the album this was on thus it was added. I actually think with the fade out / in, it's the best transition on the whole mix!

09- I pimped them the other day. simple as that. it's a catchy little song.

10- From the new album I don't have yet. I noted a slight Lisa Loeb circa 'Stay' vibe at the very beginning of the song.. maybe I'm hearing things, but it jumped out first. one person I shared this with said Björk which is typical since she's icelandic, too. eh. still a different style to me.

11- Ironically the loudest song on here I think.

12- Drum wank! it was a full 5min track with a slash and another title, but with it shortened, I shortened the title, too; not sure if that was the point.. the drum bit was the first and the weird folky crap afterwards was the second. anyhow, I thought some I&W was nicer after the drums than the original, so I edited it to merge them together and thought it worked nicely enough.. you can let me know (be sure to make zero pauses if burning to disc; really, this should go for the whole thing)!

14- This mp3 was a bit low quality, but I have no idea what the original is supposed to sound like (I wasn't about to go find another user on soulseek to see if I came up with the same low quality or not; it took forever to sample anything from this album.. I may buy it at some point to find out); it sounds a bit tinny in the vocals at parts, but I still liked it and it went with the theme, so yeah. I like the whole horse clomping thing which has appeared in other songs. are you not with the horse clomping folky phenomenon?

15- My latest fav. track from Fennesz' last album. it makes me happy. especially when the guitar strumming comes in.. so full of hope, so sad, all at once.

Theme: All forms of love, but mostly on the sad side + death basically.

I figured since I was up from having weird dreams, I might as well post it now.
I actually feel rested, too! yay!

Thank you... Low is good.. I, at one time, thought they were too slow / quiet and got rather bored before it would get to the good bits, but the last album Trust interested me and then this one seems promising (I have yet to purchase it, but it'll probably be the next new album I get.. I got most these songs from soulseek... heh).

Home Movies is THE BEST CARTOON EVAR! (if that's the icon you mean) :D
Do you have the season one dvd set? I got it for xmas and have been enjoying it lately since my leg got injured; can't do much.

By the way, I noticed you're a new lj-er (or just new journal?)... which interests brought you here? :)
