Albums purchased the past couple months:
Adem- Love and Other Planets
(this one is decent enough, but still like the first better)

Band of Horses - Everything All The Time
(about time I got a real copy)

David Thomas Broughton- the complete guide to insufficiency
(heard this awhile back. I think the song 'execution' is the most disturbing/witty song I've heard this year.. the cover art is cute)

Felt- Gold Mine Rush
(I recently discovered them -- yes, I know.. where was I? this is some compilation of some of their best I think.. it's nice)

The Futureheads- News and Tributes + free 7"
(there were four songs at the end that were not on the downloaded version I had, so this was a nice surprise. I don't have their first album, so have nothing to compare it to, but I find this catchy. hopefully it's the sort that sticks)

Guillemots- From the Cliffs EP
(it sounded a bit like arcade fire at first....)

Hot Chip- Boy From School (Part One) 7" (single)
Hot Chip- Boy From School (Part Two) 7" (single)
Hot Chip- Boy From School (Erol Alkan Mix) (single)
Hot Chip- Boy From School (promo single)
Hot Chip- The Warning
(I got all of these around my bday... obsessed a bit? I still want an mp3 version of the song "A Glue Too Thick".. I could only find it on the danish version of the iTunes store through my ongoing google searches. sad)

Howling Bells- s/t
(this one was supposed to come out in April, but didn't seem to appear till May. it was well worth the wait though.. despite having it on my HD for months! in case you missed the earlier posts I made, this'll sum it up: Australian Neko Case)

manyfingers- our worn shadow
(it finally was released last week. well worth the effort. there's an added song plus dvd of a live show + interlude! if it weren't already on last year's top list, it would've been on this year's. I found it cute he wore a Hood shirt in the video... hah! I want a Hood shirt!)

Juana Molina- Son
(Spanish songs over nice electronic soundscapes of sorts... I've only listened to this one once, so haven't formed a solid opinion, but yes, the cover art is cool.. it has texture!)

The Mountain Goats - Babylon Springs EP
(really, as shown on the last mix, I bought it for that Trembling Blue Stars cover, but the rest is okay. I've never been a big fan of them -- apparently there's such a thing as too lo-fi/same-y, but some songs are decent as the ones on this EP were)

Soul Jazz Records Presents Tropicália: A Brazilian Revolution in Sound
(basically summarised in the title... it comes with a rather lengthy booklet discussing the content of the 20 tracks. I haven't read it yet, but it looks interesting.. it's like a mini-book)

This doesn't count downloads. I've been slacking with that though.
